Crystal Haynes

Crystal Haynes founder and CEO of Common Narrative Media. She also hosts our podcast and digital video series.

She is an Emmy award winning journalist and non-profit communications professional with a DEI concentration. She is the former host of GBH’s Greater Boston and Basic Black and former Weekend Morning Anchor at Boston 25 News. 

She is a longtime advocate for maternal/fetal research and advocacy and economic justice following the premature birth of her son James. 

Crystal has a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism with a concentration in history and political communication from Emerson College and Masters Degree from Northeastern University in Media Advocacy.

Crystal grew up in Springfield, MA, but has called Arlington home for the last 7 years where she lives with James and her husband Jonathan in his family home for more than 5 generations.
